John
John presents Jesus as the eternal Word who comes among his own, gathers disciples, and reveals the Father through signs, testimony, and teaching. The Gospel moves from witness and early belief to rising conflict in Jerusalem, where Jesus speaks of new birth, living water, the bread of life, the good shepherd, and the hour of his death. It carries the reader through betrayal, trial, crucifixion, burial, resurrection, and restoration by the sea, so that belief may rest on the signs written.
Within the New Testament, John gives a distinct witness to Jesus’ identity and mission. It joins testimony, signs, farewell teaching, death, and resurrection into a single account that centers on the Son’s glory, the Father’s purpose, and the call to belief.
