Luke
Luke presents an orderly account of Jesus’ life, from promised birth and prophetic witness to public ministry, suffering, resurrection, and ascension. The Gospel moves through John’s preparation, Jesus’ teaching and works, table fellowship, travel toward Jerusalem, and repeated conflict with leaders. It gives careful attention to prayer, the Spirit, women, the poor, outsiders, and the Scriptures, showing Jesus as the Savior who brings mercy to Israel and to the nations.
Within the New Testament, Luke gives a full, ordered portrait of Jesus that gathers prophecy, history, and testimony into one narrative. It complements the apostolic writings by tracing mercy, the kingdom, and salvation from Israel outward, while keeping the path to Jerusalem and the risen Lord in view.
