Acts

Acts follows the risen Jesus continuing his work through the Holy Spirit as witness moves from Jerusalem into Judea, Samaria, and the Gentile world. The book traces preaching, prayer, persecution, miracles, councils, journeys, imprisonments, and trials through Peter, Stephen, Philip, Barnabas, Paul, and many others while the word keeps opening new peoples and places. It ends in Rome with Paul still proclaiming the kingdom of God, the story unfinished and still moving outward.

Within the New Testament, Acts bridges the Gospels and the apostolic letters by showing how the church’s life and mission take shape after Jesus’ ascension. It explains how Jerusalem, Antioch, and Rome are gathered into one widening witness under the Spirit.
