Book 26 · Major Prophet
Ezekiel
Ezekiel speaks to Judah from exile, where the collapse of temple, land, and monarchy has not cancelled the holiness or mobility of God's rule. The book confronts hardened rebellion with severe visions and sign-acts, yet it also moves toward cleansing, renewed covenant life, and the promise that God's presence can return to a restored people.
Within Scripture, Ezekiel stands at the intersection of judgment and restoration for the exilic community. It shows that the LORD's glory is not trapped in Jerusalem, that sin must be exposed without sentimentality, and that renewal requires new hearts, a new people, and the renewed presence of God Himself.
