The LORD Reigns!

The LORD is proclaimed as reigning in majesty and strength, clothed and armed as king. Because of that reign, the world is established and cannot be moved. His throne is not newly secured but firmly established from long ago, for he himself is from everlasting.

T1he LORD reigns! He is robed in majesty; 2Your throne was established long ago;

The floods lift up their voice and crashing might, embodying the threat and turbulence of chaotic power. Yet above the sound of many waters and the breakers of the sea, the LORD on high is declared mightier still.

3The floodwaters have risen, O LORD; 4Above the roar of many waters—

The psalm concludes by affirming that the LORD's testimonies are wholly trustworthy and that holiness adorns his house forever.
