A New Heaven and a New Earth
The LORD declares that He is creating new heavens and a new earth so complete that former troubles no longer dominate memory. Jerusalem and her people are created for joy, and the marks of curse are dramatically reversed: weeping is gone, infant death is no longer the norm, and life is extended in a way that reflects blessing rather than fragility.
F17or behold, I will create 18But be glad and rejoice forever 19I will rejoice in Jerusalem 20No longer will a nursing infant live but a few days,
In the renewed world, God's people inhabit what they build, enjoy what they plant, and see their labor bear fruit across generations rather than being handed over to others. Before they even call, God answers them, and creation itself is reconciled into peace as wolf and lamb feed together; yet the serpent still eats dust, a reminder that evil remains judged and cannot spoil the holy mountain of the LORD.
21They will build houses and dwell in them; 22No longer will they build houses for others to inhabit, 23They will not labor in vain 24Even before they call, I will answer, 25The wolf and the lamb will feed together,
