Because you have made the LORD your dwelling—
Because the LORD has been made a refuge and the Most High a dwelling place, the promises stand.
This verse states the condition of abiding trust beneath the assurance.
1He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High 2I will say to the LORD, “You are my refuge and my fortress, 3Surely He will deliver you 4He will cover you with His feathers; 5You will not fear the terror of the night, 6nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, 7Though a thousand may fall at your side, 8You will only see it with your eyes 9Because you have made the LORD your dwelling— 10no evil will befall you, 11For He will command His angels concerning you 12They will lift you up in their hands, 13You will tread on the lion and cobra; 14“Because he loves Me, I will deliver him; 15When he calls out to Me, 16With long life I will satisfy him
