Bless the LORD, All You Servants

The final ascent song begins by summoning the LORD's servants in the night to bless him in his house and to lift their hands toward the sanctuary. It closes with a spoken blessing from Zion, so that the whole collection ends in a simple exchange of worship offered and blessing received.

Role in the chapterThis section functions as a liturgical farewell and benediction. It gathers the pilgrim songs into one last act of worship, where those who minister in the LORD's presence bless him and receive blessing in return from the God whose dwelling is in Zion and whose power extends over all creation.
