Book 5 · Torah
Deuteronomy
Deuteronomy gathers Moses' final words to Israel on the plains of Moab, where he retells their long journey, sets the law before a new generation, and presses them to remember the LORD when they enter the land. The book moves through memory, warning, and promise, returning again and again to covenant love, wholehearted obedience, and the choice between life and ruin.
As the closing book of the Torah, Deuteronomy turns Israel from wilderness wandering toward the Jordan and binds the story's beginnings to the life they are about to live in the land. It also marks the handoff from Moses to Joshua, leaving Israel with covenant memory and a final prophetic voice at the threshold.
