The Ten Bronze Basins

The basins are described by size and capacity, then the stands and the Sea are set in their places around the temple.

H38e also made ten bronze basins, each holding forty baths and measuring four cubits across, one basin for each of the ten stands. 39He set five stands on the south side of the temple and five on the north, and he put the Sea on the south side, at the southeast corner of the temple.

Section summaryTen bronze basins are made to match the ten stands, and their placement around the temple is carefully arranged. The section is brief, but it completes the coordinated pattern of vessels and location.
Role in the chapterThis short movement finishes the set begun in the previous section. It turns technical description into spatial order within the temple courts.
