The Descendants of Manasseh

Manasseh’s line begins with Asriel and moves through Machir, whose household connections and wife Maacah are noted. From Maacah come Peresh and Sheresh, and Sheresh’s sons continue the branch.

T¹⁴he descendants of Manasseh: Asriel ¹⁵Machir took a wife from among the Huppites and Shuppites. The name of his sister was Maacah. ¹⁶Machir’s wife Maacah gave birth to a son, and she named him Peresh. His brother was named Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rekem.

Ulam’s son and the sons of Gilead are named, then Hammolecheth and Shemida’s descendants are added. The genealogy spreads through several connected family lines within Manasseh.
