¹O LORD, God of vengeance, ²Rise up, O Judge of the earth; ³How long will the wicked, O LORD, ⁴They pour out arrogant words; ⁵They crush Your people, O LORD; ⁶They kill the widow and the foreigner; ⁷They say, “The LORD does not see; ⁸Take notice, O senseless among the people! ⁹He who affixed the ear, can He not hear? ¹⁰He who admonishes the nations, does He not discipline? ¹¹The LORD knows the thoughts of man, ¹²Blessed is the man You discipline, O LORD, ¹³to grant him relief from days of trouble, ¹⁴For the LORD will not forsake His people; ¹⁵Surely judgment will again be righteous, ¹⁶Who will rise up for me against the wicked? ¹⁷Unless the LORD had been my helper, ¹⁸If I say, “My foot is slipping,” ¹⁹When anxiety overwhelms me, ²⁰Can a corrupt throne be Your ally — ²¹They band together against the righteous ²²But the LORD has been my stronghold, ²³He will bring upon them their own iniquity
