Darius Honors God

Darius issues a proclamation of peace to all nations and commands reverent fear before the God of Daniel. He confesses that this God is living and everlasting, that His kingdom will not be destroyed, and that He delivers, rescues, and works signs and wonders, as shown in Daniel's rescue from the lions. The chapter ends with Daniel prospering through successive reigns, showing that fidelity under pressure is not lost before the God who rules history.

T25hen King Darius wrote to the people of every nation and language throughout the land: “May your prosperity abound. 26I hereby decree that in every part of my kingdom, men are to tremble in fear before the God of Daniel: 27He delivers and rescues; 28So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
