The Courts

The priests’ court and the large court are made, their doors are overlaid with bronze, and the Sea is set at the southeast corner. The emphasis is on defining the temple’s spaces and fixing the great basin in place.

H9e made the courtyard of the priests and the large court with its doors, and he overlaid the doors with bronze. 10He put the Sea on the south side, at the southeast corner.

Section summaryThe chapter briefly turns to the courts and doors, then notes the Sea’s exact position at the southeast side. Even these short notices keep the focus on how the temple’s spaces are marked out and furnished.
