Book 54 · Epistle

1 Timothy

1 Timothy is a pastoral charge about how the church should live, teach, pray, appoint leaders, care for vulnerable people, and resist distortions of the gospel. Paul keeps returning to sound teaching, godly conduct, and the order of God's household, while personally urging Timothy to persevere as a faithful servant. The letter ends with warnings about greed, false knowledge, and the need to guard what has been entrusted.

This letter brings apostolic truth down into the ordinary life of the church. It shows doctrine embodied in worship, leadership, generosity, discipline, and perseverance inside the household of God.
