Isaiah

Chapter 35

The Glory of Zion

Isaiah 35 answers the desolation of the previous chapter with a vision of transformed creation, strengthened hearts, healed bodies, and a secure road home for the redeemed. What was wilderness becomes glad, what was fearful becomes steadfast, and what was scattered returns to Zion with everlasting joy under the saving presence of God.

This chapter matters because it shows that the LORD's final word over His people is not wasteland but restoration, not exile but redeemed return. Isaiah 35 gathers together creation's renewal, the healing of human weakness, and the holiness of the returning way, making Zion's glory the shared destination of those whom God Himself rescues.
