About Amram Written by AI

Amram was a Levite, the son of Kohath and father of Moses, Aaron, and Miriam (Exodus 6:18; Numbers 26:58; 1 Chronicles 6:2; 23.12,13). He married his father's sister Jochebed (Exodus 6:20). Amram's family belonged to the Kohathite branch of Levites (Numbers 3:19; 1 Chronicles 6:18; 24.20; 26.23). As the father of Moses and Aaron, Amram played a significant role in the history of Israel, although little is recorded about his own life.
